€65,00

A must have for the porcelain collector or Dachshund enthusiast. A true connoisseur recognizes the value of this cutie. This is a glazed earthenware figurine of a"Dachshund"designed by Olaf Mathiesen 1912, executed by Royal Copenhagen.

Since the early 17th century, when Chinese porcelain came in large quantities from the Far East, Europeans became fascinated by the blue and white colors. In an old post office in Copenhagen, a porcelain factory was founded on May 1, 1775 by chemist Frantz Heinrich Müller, who wanted to try to emulate this Chinese quality. When the factory ran into financial difficulties in 1779, King Christian VII took over the company. Hence the logo the royal crown with three blue waves underneath that symbolize the Sound, the Great Belt and the Little Belt.

The more than 100 years old porcelain figurine is in perfect condition.
